Creative Mindfulness for Children (EYFS) Introduction
The sessions I am sharing with you are taken from a course I am currently undertaking
Accredited Creative Mindfulness for Kids
created by Louise Shanagher
(Children’s therapist, mindfulness teacher and Psychology lecturer)
Accredited by the International Mindfulness and Meditation Alliance (IMMA)
Update - 30 July 2020 - I was awarded the qualification, certificate below.
The sessions introduce mindfulness to children in fun and creative ways.
Children will learn how to
- calm and relax their minds
- to focus and pay attention
- to understand and express their thoughts and feelings
- cultivate kindness for themselves and others
through creativity, art, craft, stories, meditation, visualisation and discussion.
There are 10 lessons for which I will produce and share 10 videos for you to use with the children and separate lesson plans to give you more details of how to develop the ideas further.
If you have questions, comments or queries do not hesitate to contact me. Also, it would be great to have feedback on how it went with the children and any benefits you feel it has brought to and their wellbeing and your own.
