WorkFit is a tailored service dedicated to training employers about the learning associated with people with Down’s syndrome. Finding the right employment opportunities, for the right people, with the right level of support. Our approach is to fully support bot the employers and the candidates at all stages of the recruitment process:

  • working with the employer to develop suitable opportunities and providing them with training, advice and resources as well as ongoing support
  • working with candidates to promote their skills and develop an opportunity that suits them and then providing the ongoing support they may need for the exciting challenges that lie ahead in the workplace

The DSA (Downs Syndrome Association) WorkFit approach progresses employees towards new outcomes, through training, confidence building and skills development in the workplace through a successful “buddy” scheme. Supported employment is not an end destination but a stepping stone into a career pathway.

We recognise paid work is not right for everyone and that some people are looking for experiences to help them decide on their future career and build their confidence. The employment solution may include;
