Shared Lives

If you are 18+ and have a disability or long term illness, Hull’s Shared Lives scheme is specifically for you. It is different from residential care and other forms of care because it means you get to live with a carer and become an equal member of their household. It means you also get to share their life, family, and friends while receiving the personal support you need to help you live an ordinary life.

Whether it’s long term or for a short break, the scheme will take great care in placing you with someone who will make sure you get the best from living with a Shared Lives carer and their family.
