Transition planning

Admissions to school are managed by the Local Authority. Schools will engage in timely planning for change and transition. Transition may be between –

• pre-school setting and Primary school
• from one class or key stage to
• from primary to secondary school
• from one school to another
• on transition from secondary school to college or training facility
