Free Early Education Funding and Childcare
All three and four year old's in England are entitled to 570 hours of free early education or childcare a year. This is often taken as 15 hours each week for 38 weeks of the year. Some two year olds are also eligible. This early education can be accessed from a range of childcare providers across the city including –
- nursery schools and classes
- day nurseries
- children’s centres
- pre-schools and playgroups
- certain childminders.
