The needs of each individual are specific to the child and when organising home to school transport the School Transport Team will look to meet those needs.  In many cases and where appropriate, it will be expected that children will share transport to maximise cost effectiveness and ensure that the Local Authority meets the sustainable transport requirements of the ‘Travel to school for children of compulsory school age’ Statutory Guidance 2024.
