How to apply for a Special Educational Needs Home to School Transport
In order to apply for SEN Home to School Transport the following application should be completed. This is an online form and you will need to register first. Follow the steps on this link. Once you have an account you will just need to sign in.
We only transport children from their home address to school and then back home again at the end of the school day.
If you are applying for transport for this academic year, please be aware that once this has been approved it can take up to 10 school days to be put in place.4
If you are applying for transport for the new academic year, applications received after 5 May will be considered late applications. They will still be processed, however, we cannot guarantee that transport will be in place for the beginning of the new term.
In order to apply under the exceptional circumstances process outlined in the policy, please complete the following application form with as much information as possible. The application can then be considered by the Transport Panel and you will be notified of the outcome as soon as possible.
The needs of each individual are specific to the child and when organising home to school transport the School Transport Team will look to meet those needs. In many cases and where appropriate, it will be expected that children will share transport to maximise cost effectiveness and ensure that the Local Authority meets the sustainable transport requirements of the Home to School Travel and Transport Statutory Guidance 2014.
